Kauai lifeguard positions available

Anyone interested in becoming a seasonal/on-call lifeguard with the Kauai Ocean Safety Bureau can apply between Monday and 24 during normal business hours.

There are eight openings. Applications can be downloaded from the county website, www.kauai.gov, and turned in at any county lifeguard tower or the Kauai Fire Department headquarters located in the Moikeha Building at the Līhue Civic Center.

Applications can also be picked up at those locations.

The duties of a seasonal/on-call lifeguard include: patrol beach at an assigned tower; protect life; prevent accidents; enforce safety regulations; and assist people in distress. Other related duties may also be required. The pay is $12 per hour.
