Advertiser Staff

McNeil Wilson Communications received an honorable mention award for its "Support Rail Transit" campaign at the 18th annual Pollie Awards and Conference held recently in Washington, D.C.

The McNeil Wilson campaign was entered in the "Ballot, Referendum, and Initiative Campaigns" category. The campaign included the implementation of highly targeted TV and radio spots promoting a website encouraging visitors to "Vote Yes 4 Rail Now" and featuring daily updates and email messages in support of the campaign.

"The campaign was successful in countering an extremely high-profile, organized anti-rail campaign, and was effective in complementing and incorporating messages from other pro-rail organizations," McNeill Wilson said in a news release.

The Pollie awards are given by The American Association of Political Consultants and Public Affairs Professionals and recognizes excellence in the political campaign and public affairs industry.
