Hawaii surf: 7 to 9 feet expected on North Shore

Advertiser Staff

Surf along the north- and west-facing shores of Oahu will be down a bit today compared with yesterday, the National Weather Service said.

On the North Shore, wave faces of 7 to 9 feet are expected, while surf of 3 to 6 feet is projected for west-facing shores.

Surf along east- and south-facing shores will likely be 2 to 4 feet today.

Outlook through Wednesday, April 22: The current northwest swell will continue to lower through the weekend.

A short period north-northeast swell may push surf above advisory levels along east-facing shores on Tuesday.

A long period south swell is expected to arrive on Tuesday and continue through Wednesday.
