H-1 lanes at North-South Road, Makakilo Interchange to be closed tonight

Advertiser Staff

The state Department of Transportation is advising Oahu motorists of planned 24-hour closures of H-1 Freeway lanes beginning tonight.

Starting at 9, the two rightmost west-bound lanes of H-1 between North-South Road and the Makakilo Interchange will be closed for concrete repavement work.

The repairs are expected to continue until 8 p.m. Sunday.

Electronic message boards will be placed at various points around the construction area.

Motorists are advised to use caution while driving through the areas, allow for extra travel time or use alternate routes, such as Farrington Highway.

As always, road work is weather-permitting.
