Honolulu police are investigating the apparent drowning of a 61-year-old woman at Ko Olina today.

The woman, who was seen snorkeling at Cove 2 earlier in the day, was found floating and unconscious around 12:30 p.m.

She was taken to an area hospital but could not be revived.

The case has been classified as an unattended death.
