Sacred Hearts tops MPI in softball

Joslyn Eugenio pitched a six-hitter and Meleina Fraga batted 2 for 3 as Sacred Hearts beat Mid-Pacific, 2-1, in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu softball game yesterday at Crane Park.

Sacred Hearts improved to 3-7; Mid-Pacific dropped to 7-3.

The Owls' Nona Pauline and Keiki Carlos combined on a five-hitter.

In the second game, Bajarin pitched a five-hitter with no walks and one strikeouts as Roosevelt completed the sweep in a game shortened to five innings. Haley Luke batted 3 for 4 with a triple and four RBIs and Charisse Tanabe went 4 for 5 with a double and three RBIs.
