Hawaii surf: North Shore may hit 8 feet today

Surf along the north-facing shores will lower to heights of 1 to 3 feet this morning but will then increase to heights of 4 to 6 feet with larger sets this afternoon, the National Weather Service said.

Surf along west-facing shores will be flat to 2 feet through today with inconsistent larger sets to 3 feet showing up this afternoon.

Surf along east-facing shores will remain flat to 2 feet through today while Surf along south-facing shores will be 1 to 2 feet.

Outlook through Saturday, April 25: The north-northwest swell arriving Monday afternoon will gradually increase an turn more to the north-northeast. This will likely push surf to the 8-foot advisory level on the east-facing shores Tuesday and continue through the work week.
