UH talks to address plastic's effect on marine life

Two April lectures are scheduled as part of the "Plastic and Hawaii's Marine Life" lecture/film series, presented by the Beach Environmental Awareness Campaign Hawaii, in partnership with the University of Hawaii-Manoa College of Education.

  • "Plastic: Impacts on our Health, Marine Life and the Environment" is scheduled for Wednesday – Earth Day. Suzanne Frazer will give the talk.

  • "Albatross as Indicators of Plastic Pollution in the Marine Environment" is scheduled for April 29. HPU assistant professor of oceanography Dr. David Hyrenbach will speak.

    Each will be presented at 6:30 p.m. in the UH-Manoa Architecture Auditorium.
