Advertiser Staff

LIHUE — Green waste is not being accepted at the Hanalei transfer station until further notice due to safety concerns caused by muddy conditions in the drop-off area, the county said today.

Green waste drop-off services at Hanalei will resume when conditions at the site improve.

On the East Side, the Kapaa transfer station is closed today due to repair work on a broken water line on Kahi Road, which leads to the entrance of the facility.

Green waste is also not accepted at the Kapaa transfer station until further notice due to muddy conditions in the drop-off area.
