NFL: Titans visit wounded soldiers at Army post

Associated Press

FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. — Tennessee Titans center Kevin Mawae and fullbacks Ahmard Hall and Casey Cramer all have military connections. That is why visiting the Fort Campbell Army post and spending some time with true wounded warriors is such a treat.

The trio spent most of Thursday at the installation on the Kentucky-Tennessee state line with one of the highlights being an hour spent at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital. The NFL members visited soldiers rehabilitating injuries, many suffered in war zones.

Mawae, whose father served 23 years in the Army, said visiting with the soldiers easily reminds them of who the true warriors really are.

The Titans wrapped up their annual fan caravan Thursday at Fort Campbell, a visit that is a highlight for the team each year.
