Mokulele, Continental implement ticketing deal

Mokulele Airlines said it has implemented a ticketing agreement with Continental Airlines that will create a more seamless system for Continental passengers arriving in Honolulu and connecting on Mokulele flights to the Neighbor Islands.

From Honolulu, Mokulele offers service to Kahului, Maui; Kona and Hilo (effective May 1) on the Big Island; Lihue, Kauai; and Hoolehua, Molokai. All destinations can now be booked in Continental's reservations system.

"This agreement makes 'one-stop shopping' possible for those traveling from the Mainland to points throughout the Islands," said Scott Durgin, interim CEO of Mokulele Airlines.

The agreement also means Continental passengers connecting in Honolulu to a Mokulele destination will not need to claim and recheck their bags in Honolulu.
