Hawaii's 35 top tax delinquents named online

Advertiser Staff

The state's online posting of Hawaii's 35 biggest tax delinquents includes people and businesses who owe anywhere between $121,063 and $1.99 million.

The Hawaii tax department debuted the Web page today showing names and how much they owe in back taxes. The group owes more than $17.4 million in aggregate.

The state sent letters earlier this month to 41 tax scofflaws who owed $23 million, in taxes, penalties and interest. They were informed their names would be listed on the Web site at http://hawaii.gov/tax/a2_b2_2delinq.htm if they didn't make arrangements to pay.
