Smoke inhalation was cause of death, medical examiner says

Advertiser Staff

The city Medical Examiner has determined the cause of death for two people killed in a Makiki Heights house fire yesterday was "inhalation of smoke and products of combustion."

The early-morning blaze destroyed the house at 2069 Mauna Pl.

Friends and relatives identified those who died in the fire as Larry Fair, 58, a computer repairman, and Khristy Ray Sasaki Bartlett, 38.

The medical examiner has not confirmed the identities.
