MAY 2

It's been dubbed the "World Famous Lanikai Christmas Craft Fair." That it's held in May may be one reason why it stands out. For all you early, early shoppers there will be plenty of cool crafts, some you can't find anywhere else.

Love those Ladies of the '80s, and all we can say is Salt-n-Pepa is here and still push, pushing it real good. So are Lisa Lisa, Spinderella and SWV (Sisters With Voices). This is a trip back in time you won't want to miss.

The Filipino Fiesta is the largest annual event for the Filipino community, and it's actually a three-in-one deal: A parade followed by an all-day celebration and a Santacruzan festival at night. Great culture.

It's spring and we're feeling amorous. Must be all the puppy love soon taking place at the Hawai'i Pet Expo & Puppy Match 2009. Cats, birds and other pets are included, and you can bring your furry friends along so long as they are on a leash and in control.

Sad to say it's the Diamond Head Theatre's season finale already. But what a way to go out. The comedy "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" is laugh-out-loud funny.

Cheech and Chong are finally back together. After decades apart the comedy duo buried the hatchet last year and quickly started what they refer to as "the senior stoners tour." (Their words). They were kidding, we think. But does it matter?
