HPU's Amaral drives in 10 runs in 18-2 win over UH-Hilo

Blake Amaral drove in 10 runs as Hawai'i Pacific beat Hawai'i-Hilo, 18-2, today in the first game of a Pacific West Conference baseball doubleheader at Hans L'Orange Park.

Amaral, a freshman left fielder from Kamehameha Schools-Hawai'i, hit a grand slam, a two-run triple and a pair of two-RBI singles for the Sea Warriors (22-16, 10-9) in a game shortened to 6 1/2 innings. Derek Grace and Alex Agortsas each had three hits, and Cheynne Hirota hit a two-run homer for HPU.

Keoni Manago had three hits for Hilo (20-18, 11-12).
