Bestselling manga artist new serial published in English

"Rin-Ne," the new manga serial from bestselling artist Rumiko Takahashi, is being published simultaneously in Japanese and Englilsh for the first time on her official English language Web site, TheRumicWorld.com.

Takahashi, who began winning awards for her work in the 1970s and whose boy-meets-alien comedy Series, "Urusei Yatsura" was adapted into anime and spawned a TV series and several movies in Japan, is among the world's most popular manga artists. "Rin-Ne," about a young girl who mysteriously disappears and returns as a teenager who can see ghosts (and is getting a little tired of it), is Takahashi's first manga since the epic "Inuyasha," which ended in 2008.

"Rin-Ne," which launched last week, is being serialized in Japan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine and online in North America at TheRumicWorld.com.
