Police are searching for a shooting suspect in Windward Oahu after a man was fatally shot in Kailua tonight.

The victim is a man who appears to be in his 50s, said Bryan Cheplic, city Emergency Services spokesman. He suffered what appeared to be multiple gunshot sounds and was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Cheplic said.

Emergency personnel received a call about 9:30 p.m. The shooting took place in an area around Oneawa Street.

Police were looking for a person in a black truck.
