NFL: Vikings’ QB Jackson says he feared worst with knee

Associated Press

MANKATO, Minn. — Minnesota Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson says he feared a serious injury when he sprained his left knee, but is confident he’ll be back to practice soon.

Jackson spoke to reporters Tuesday for the first time since he was hurt three days ago. He said he feels “a lot better” and that an injury he suffered a year ago was “a lot worse.”
Jackson was on the field for the Tuesday morning practice, playing catch on the side and simulating some drop-backs with a brace on his knee. He’s still walking gingerly.
The Vikings also said they are letting go wide receiver Aundrae Allison.
