CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are seeking the public’s finding a man suspected of second-degree theft.

About 3:40 p.m. July 30, the man entered the Diamond One Jewelry Store at Pearlridge Shopping Center. He approached the counter and asked to try on a gold necklace. After placing it on his neck, the man ran into the parking lot and was confronted by a retired police officer.

A struggle ensued, causing the suspect to drop the necklace and he fled. He was last seen getting into a silver Dodge, four-door near Kanuku Street.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300, or *CRIME on cellular phones. Free cellular calls are provided by AT&T, Nextel Hawaii, T-Mobile, and Verizon Wireless Hawaii.
