Hawai'i County police have asked for a coroner's inquest into the death of a woman whose body was found alongside a Kailua, Kona, road early yesterday morning.

The woman was identified as 41-year-old Davelin Aweau of Maui.

Kona patrol officers responded to a 4:23 a.m. report of a body lying on the north side of Manawalea Street and found Aweau. She was taken to Kona Community Hospital where she was officially pronounced dead at 7:50 a.m.

Police say they found no evidence of foul play.
