Hawaii average gas up to $3.16, first rise in four weeks

The average price of a gallon of gasoline in Hawaii climbed to $3.16 this week, ending a string of three consecutive weekly declines, AAA Hawaii reported today.

The statewide average price was up four cents a week ago, but down 13 cents from a month ago, AAA said in its Daily Fuel Gauge Report.
In Honolulu, the average price was $3.06, up five cents from last week, but down 14 cents from last month.
The average price in Hilo was $3.11, up two cents from a week ago, but 21 cents lower than a month ago.
In Wailuku, the average price was $3.49, up four cents from last week, but down 12 cents from than last month.
