Five artful friends are banding together for a trunk show from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Waioli Tea Room. The five:

• Wendy Kim-Messier, a designer of imaginative clothing.

• Lynda Sakraida of Hadji Baba Bags, whose one-of-a-kind bags have exotic embellishments.

• Candice Wakamoto, who crafts wearable art from silver clay, combining malleable metal with gemstones.

• Victoria Gail-White, who uses the centuries-old method of marbling to make brilliant scarves. She will also offer home-baked treats.

• Cora Yee, who combines exotic beads with semi-precious stones, pearls and unusual materials for distinctive jewelry.

FERRAGAMO RETRO AT ROYAL HAWAIIAN

Salvatore Ferragamo has selected the most iconic designs from its archives of more than 13,000 styles for a collection of limited-edition shoes and bags. The collection, Ferragamo's Creations, will be on display and available for sale today through Aug. 16 at the Waikiki flagship store in the Royal Hawaiian Center.

Honolulu is only the second city in the United States, following San Francisco, to show the collection.

CARTIER MARKS 100

Cartier, the iconic French luxury brand, is celebrating its 100th anniversary in the U.S. To mark that, it has reinterpreted classic Cartier timepieces and jewelry. American eagle motifs, stars and a smattering of red, white and blue celebrate the stylistic bridge between Paris and America.

Nearly 100 pieces from the collection, including the classic "LOVE" bracelet, Ballon Bleu de Cartier watch and Trinity charity bracelet, are on display through Aug. 23 in the Cartier boutiques in Ala Moana Center and the Royal Hawaiian Center.

In addition, due out in mid-August is photographer Bruce Weber's book "Cartier I Love You" (teNeues Publishing), featuring photos and drawings from Cartier's archives. Weber contributed his own view and a unique world populated with cowboys, chic hippies, surfers and femme fatales. Proceeds go to the nonprofit coalition ServiceNation.
