Red Cross seeking volunteers to help with Felicia

Advertiser Staff

The American Red Cross Hawaiçi State Chapter has put out the call for more volunteers in to help with the problems caused by Tropical Storm Felicia.

Volunteers are on standby mode to operate shelters and to feed people affected by the storm. In addition volunteers conduct disaster assessment, deliver health and mental health services and handle logistics, said Coralie Chun Matayoshi, red cross CEO.
"If you ever wanted to know what it was like to help out in a disaster, we can train and deploy you quickly," Matayoshi said. "Whether it's working in a shelter, helping with logistics or working in the office, we could really use your help."
