Tropical Depression Nine-E moving west from Baja

Tropical Depression Nine-E was moving west from Baja California last night and could strengthen slowly Wednesday night or Thursday, the National Hurricane Center reported.

At 5 p.m. Hawaii time, Nine-E was 1,435 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of Baja California. It had maximum sutained winds of 30 mph.
It was moving west at 13 mph, the hurricane center said.
The weather system is still in the eastern Pacific and poses no imminent threat to Hawaii.
