Members of Farrington's boys and girls soccer teams recently helped launch the Storm Drain Stenciling Program.

The team helped stencil storm drains in Kalihi to educate the public on the dangers of pollutants entering streams, channels and oceans from storm drains.

The service-learning program is a partnership between the City and County of Honolulu, Interscholastic League of Honolulu athletic directors, some O'ahu Interscholastic Association schools, local Lions Clubs and Salem Media.

CANNED GOODS FOR MILITARY

Two canned good donations could result in an iPod prize at Friday's Military Freedom Bowl game between Radford and Leilehua.

Fans who donate two canned goods for the Hawaii Food Bank's five most requested items list (canned meats/tuna, canned meals, canned soup, canned vegetables, and canned fruit) are eligible to win an iPod.

This is the first of a series of food drives to be held at football games in a partnership between the U.S. Army and the Foodbank.
