Schuler Family Foundation yesterday presented a $20,000 check to Children's Alliance of Hawai'i.

The donation, presented Downtown, is the last payment of a $100,000 pledge the Schuler Family Foundation made to the organization over the past five years. The donation has been used to support the Children's Alliance of Hawai'i's capital campaign to purchase the organization's headquarters.

"The Schuler Family Foundation is proud to support such a worthy organization as the Children's Alliance of Hawai'i, as they truly are able to make a positive difference and help those that have been victimized at a young age," said Jim Schuler, president and founder of the Schuler Family Foundation.

An average of 900 new cases of child sexual abuse are reported each year on O'ahu. The Children's Alliance of Hawai'i has been able to provide services to 700 children annually, with the help of community support.
