TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE: “20/20,” 9 P.M., ABC

Parkersburg, Iowa, offered a classic portrait of small-town America.
About 35 miles south of Mason City (the inspiration for “The Music Man”), it had only 1,889 people in the 2000, but has spawned four football pros, including the Green Bay Packers' Aaron Kampman.
On the eve of Memorial Day, 2008, a massive tornado, confirmed at F5, blasted the town. Six people were killed, 70 were injured, 400 buildings were damaged.
The city would bounce back, Iowa-style. Three months later, the football team won its home opener on a field alongside the ravaged high school; the new school is expected to open this fall.
Here's a portrait of the tornado, told through videos and eyewitness accounts.

TONIGHT'S MIGHT-SEE: “MENTAL” SEASON-FINALE, 7-9 P.M., FOX

Let's credit Fox for trying a complex, scripted drama in the middle of summer silliness.
For much of the season, Jack was desperate to find his schizophrenic sister. Now she's in his psychiatric hospital, but there's a tug-of-war with their parents, who have the final say.
Meanwhile, the hospital faces a funding crisis and more. One patient doesn't want his fingers mended; another insists he's a werewolf – and takes everyone hostage until the next full moon.
