Advertiser Staff

A 38-year-old homeless man was arrested Wednesday as a suspect in two May car break-ins at a Waikiki parking garage.

Police said the man was caught on the garage's video security system entering the vehicles and taking property from them about 5:30 p.m. May 3.

The suspect, who was identified through fingerprints, was arrested about 10:45 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Coolidge and King streets on suspicion of two counts of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, and one count each of third- and fourth-degree theft.
