Manley, Leilehua hold off Radford

Andrew Manley passed for 270 yards and a touchdown in Leilehua's 23-20 victory over Radford in an O'ahu Interscholastic Association preseason opener last night at Leilehua.

Tyler Boone's 31-yard field goal in the third quarter provided the margin of victory for the Mules.

Manley, The Advertiser's reigning state Offensive co-Player of the Year, completed 18 of 38 passes and was intercepted twice.

Matthew Kitiona intercepted a Manley pass and returned it 75 yards for a touchdown to close Leilehua's lead to 14-13 in the third quarter.

Manley then completed a 20-yard touchdown pass to Kamana Akagi to give the Mules a 20-13 lead at halftime.

Tauai completed a 37-yard TD pass to Zachary Lovelace and ran for a 2-yard score in the first quarter. He added another 2-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to give the Mustangs a 20-0 lead.
