Noah Cyrus (Miley's sister) voices the title character in "Ponyo"; Sosuke is Frankie Jonas (band's little brother).

Imagine if the world's balance hinged on the whims of a little girl. Or, as in Hayao Miyazaki's latest movie "Ponyo," a half-goldfish who wants to be a girl because of a boy.

Denying a young girl her heart's desire often means an epic tantrum. In this film, it causes a disaster of titanic proportions.

The title character, like many of the girls in Miyazaki's films, is a screamer, but not charming like the others. Five-year-old Sosuke falls for her, but he might be the only one. As my 13-year-old noted, visuals were amazing, but he would have turned down the volume on the voice track.
