NFL: Rams fans can text to security without getting up

Associated Press

ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Rams are giving their fans the ability to text message security concerns without having to miss a play.

The system will be available during all home games, starting with today's preseason matchup against Atlanta at the Edward Jones Dome. The system is used at other sports venues and allows fans to alert the stadium's command post if help is needed inside the stadium.

Rams chief operating officer Kevin Demoff says fans can alert security without leaving their seats. The St. Louis Convention & Visitors Commission announced the capability on Monday.
