Mililani man interrupts burglary at his home

Advertiser Staff

A Mililani man returned home from work yesterday to find his home being burglarized.

The man, 45, told police he found a strange truck in his driveway about 5 p.m. with a teenage girl standing outside of it.
He said the girl got in the truck, honked the horn and tried to drive away, but he had blocked the driveway with his vehicle.
Moments later, the man said, he saw a male exit his home and jump over a fence.
When he went into the house, the homeowner said he found it had been ransacked and items removed.
Police were called and arrested the girl on suspicion of first-degree burglary as well as unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle after it was found that the truck in the driveway had been reported stolen earlier.
