Air Canada adding nonstop Hawaii-Calgary flights this winter

Advertiser Staff

Air Canada announced today that beginning Dec. 5, it will launch the only nonstop, seasonal service between Hawaii and Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

“We are pleased to launch the only nonstop flights from both Honolulu and Maui to Calgary this winter, saving more than two-and-a-half hours of trip time in each direction when compared to flying over other routings,” said Marcel Forget, vice president of network planning for Air Canada.
“We expect this new service to be particularly popular with Albertans looking to escape winter and enjoy the tropical Hawaiian Islands. Air Canada’s new Hawaii-Calgary flights are also timed for convenient connections to and from Edmonton and other points in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Toronto and points across eastern Canada.”
Air Canada will operate these flights with Boeing 767-300ER aircraft offering a choice of executive or economy-class service.
This winter, Air Canada will offer up to five weekly flights from Hawaii to Calgary, including up to two flights weekly from Honolulu and up to three flights a week from Maui. On Saturdays beginning Dec. 5 (with additional flights on Mondays and Fridays beginning Dec. 21), Flight AC 44 will depart Maui at 7:55 p.m., arriving in Calgary at 5:15 a.m. Flight AC 43 will depart Calgary at 2:20 p.m., arriving back in Maui at 6:35 p.m.
On Sundays beginning Dec. 6 (with additional flights on Thursdays beginning Dec. 24), Flight AC 42 will depart Honolulu at 7:40 p.m., arriving in Calgary at 5:10 a.m. Flight AC 41 will depart Calgary at 2:05 p.m., arriving back in Honolulu at 6:20 p.m.
The Hawaii-Calgary flights will add to the carrier’s 15 weekly flights during peak winter from Hawaii to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
