A 28-year-old man was charged tonight with attempted murder in connection with the stabbing of a 25-year-old woman Saturday in Mililani.

Delvin Kelley was charged with one count each of second-degree attempted murder, first-degree burglary and first-degree robbery. He remained in police custody in lieu of $100,000 bail.
Kelley is scheduled to make his initial appearance in District Court tomorrow. If convicted of the attempted murder charge, Kelley would face a mandatory prison term of life with the possibility of parole.
Kelley is charged with breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home in the Melemanu Woodlands complex on Waikalani Place Saturday afternoon. Police said the woman was then stabbed several times and the suspect fled from the scene.
The woman was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Kelley was arrested yesterday afternoon at the Honolulu Police Department’s main station on South Beretania Street.
