Barefoot Wine gives $5,000 to preserve beach access

The Oahu Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation received a $5,000 donation from Barefoot Wine to help its ongoing effort to preserve beach access.

The wine company operates a national effort to improve beach quality — the Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project — through beach cleanups, awareness campaigns and efforts that encouraging positive change.
The Surfrider Foundation believes that access to Hawaii’s beaches has been limited and is trying to improve the situation, according to foundation president Matt McClain.
The Hawaii project was one of several to receive donations nationwide.
