A 51-year-old Kahului man was critically injured yesterday evening in a motorcycle crash on Maui.

Police said the motorcycle was traveling west on Papa Place about 6:35 p.m. when it went out of control, hit the raised curb at Hukilike Street and overturned.
The man, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle. He was taken to Maui Memorial Medical Center in critical condition, police said.
