Advertiser Staff

Some international travelers arriving at Honolulu International Airport will get a nostalgic greeting tomorrow with free entertainment and chocolate-covered macadamia nuts to help mark Statehood Day.

In honor of Hawaiçi’s 50 years of Statehood, the state’s lead tourism agency — the Hawaiçi Tourism Authority — and Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Co. will greet international visitors to Oçahu as they arrive at the airport.
From about 10:20 to 11:30 this morning, arriving passengers will hear live entertainment as well as receive limited addition Statehood Deluxe Whole Milk Chocolates made with Hawaiian whole macadamia nuts to commemorate five decades of statehood.
About 5,000 passengers arriving on flights from Japan, Korea and Australia are expected to get the special greeting.
