Saint Louis seeking head coach

Advertiser Staff

Saint Louis School is seeking applicants for its varsity baseball head coach/program director position, after deciding not to retain Duane Fraticelli for next season.

Fraticelli held the job for four years, guiding the Crusaders to the state championship game in 2008 — their first state title game appearance since 1989. He was named Interscholastic League of Honolulu Coach of the Year and Advertiser State Co-Coach of the Year.

The Crusaders finished this past season at 9-9, fifth in the ILH.

"We want to thank Duane Fraticelli and his staff for their contributions to Saint Louis," athletic director Ulima Afoa said. "We just felt we needed a change."

Afoa said he will accept applications until Aug. 29.

Interested coaches may send their resumes via FAX at 739-4823 or e-mail at athletics@saintlouishawaii.org

Questions may be directed to the athletic office at 739-4882.
