Kamehameha Highway reopens after Haleiwa crash

Advertiser Staff

Police have reopened Kamehameha Highway in Central Oahu between Paalaa Uka Pupukea Road and the Joseph P. Leong Bypass area following a one-vehicle crash.

Police said a dump truck ran off the highway and into a ravine about 8:30 a.m. about a half-mile south of Haleiwa.
Fire rescue crews have been sent to the scene to free the driver who was reported to be trapped in the truck, although he reportedly escaped serious injury.
