Perhaps it's a sign of global warming? Fall fabrics are light and layered.

Perhaps it's the need for an uplifting mood in this dire economy? The "it" color is red.

Perhaps it's the inspiration and flexibility that high-tech textiles bring to the fashion industry? Whatever it is, 2009 fall fashions are amazingly Island-friendly. Even the classic cool-weather motorcycle jacket now wears well in Hawai'i, thanks to feather-light leathers.

We asked our Fashion Forum members to choose, and interpret, their favorite fall trends, injecting their own Island style.
