Soldier from Guam dies of wounds from Afghan bomb

The Department of Defense has announced the death of a soldier from Guam serving in Afghanistan.

Army 1st Sgt. Jose S.N. Crisostomo, 59, of Inarajan, died Aug. 18 in Kabul of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle.

He was assigned to International Security Assistance Force Kabul.
