Big Island firefighters yesterday were investigating a fire that caused $153,000 in damage to a five-bedroom house on Wailuku Drive in Hilo.

The fire was reported just after 7 a.m. yesterday and firefighters found the front rooms of the house fully engulfed in flames, with flames and smoke pouring from the front of the house.

No one was injured.
