Tropical Storm Ignacio is beginning to weaken as it moves northwest toward Hawaii over cooler waters near 12 mph.

At 11 a.m. today, Ignacio’s center was about 935 miles west of the southern tip of Baja California, the National Hurricane Center said.
Ignacio is expected to keep moving northwest for the next day or so.
Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph with higher gusts. Weakening is expected during the next 24 hours and Ignacio is forecast to become a tropical depression tonight and a remnant low sometime tomorrow.
Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 260 miles from the center.
The next advisory will be issued at 5 p.m.
