A man died tonight following a single-car crash near Leihoku Elementary School in Waiçanae.

The accident was reported at 8:27 p.m. near the intersection of Leihoku Street and Lualualei Homestead Road.
A man in 50s was the only occupant of the car. He was taken in critical condition to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, said city Emergency Services spokesman Bryan Cheplic.
Police closed roads in the area.
