NBA: Hornets bring back Sean Marks

Associated Press

NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Hornets have signed free-agent Sean Marks, bringing the reserve center back for a second-straight season.

Marks, a nine-year veteran, saw action in 60 games for New Orleans in 2008-09, averaging 3.2 points and 3.1 rebounds in 14.1 minutes.
The 6-foot-10, 250-pound New Zealand native was the first from his country to sign with an NBA team after playing in college for Cal-Berkeley in the late 1990s. He spent his first eight NBA seasons with four teams: Miami, Phoenix, San Antonio and Toronto.
During last season in New Orleans, Marks set new single-game career-highs for points with 18 and blocks with four.
