Sunset Rotary to give hygiene kits to drug court clients

Advertiser Staff

Members of the Rotary Club of Honolulu Sunset will present 50 hygiene kits and crates full of nonperishable food to the Hawaii Drug Court program and the Friends of the HDC.

Hawaii Drug Court Presiding Judge Michael Wilson, Friends of the HDC President Lowell Kalapa and HDC Program Administrator Janice Bennett will be accepting the gifts on behalf of the program’s clients at a brief ceremony at 10:30 a.m. today in courtroom #3 on the 3rd floor of Ka’ahumanu Hale, 777 Punchbowl St.

Representing the Rotary Club will be its president, John Meyers, Glen Bailey and his wife Loren, Jim and Beth Hoban, and Dean Agena.
The members of the Rotary Club of Honolulu Sunset are donating the hygiene kits and food to drug court probationers who enter the HDC program directly from jail with little or no personal items or means to obtain them.
