Serbia sweeps U.S. boys national team at World Championship

Serbia swept the United States boys youth national volleyball team, 25-17, 25-18, 25-18, today in pool play at the FIVB Boys’ Youth (Under-19) World Championship in Jesolo, Italy.

The United States is 1-1, with a pool play match remaining against Japan tomorrow. Serbia is 2-0.
Three Hawai‘i high school athletes played in the match for the United States. Kamehameha's Micah Christenson, a setter, had one kill, the team's only ace and five digs. Punahou's Joshua Taylor had four kills and a block. Taylor Crabb of Punahou had three kills and a dig.
