Honolulu Wine Festival raises its glass tonight in Waikiki

By Treena Shapiro
Advertiser Staff Writer

Tonight's Honolulu Wine Festival features entertainment from Willie K. and Taimane Gardener, food from top Hawai'i chefs and silent and live auctions to benefit Lupus Hawai'i.

The 20th annual festival pairs wine and spirit experts and premiere chefs who can educate your palate, while the event will help raise awareness about lupus, a widespread and chronic autoimmune disorder that attacks joints, organs, blood and skin and affects about 10,000 people in Hawai'i.

The event begins at 6:30 tonight in the Hawaii Prince Hotel's Waikiki Ballroom. Get tickets at the door; admission is $125, limited to those 21 and older. For more information or VIP tickets (Chef Mavro will be in one VIP room), call 538-1522 or visit www.lupushawaii.org.
