If you haven't yet seen "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian" or "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," you can watch either (or both) free at Kuhio Beach in Waikiki this weekend.

The event starts at 4 p.m. both today and tomorrow, with food booths and entertainment. Movies begin after sunset, around 7:30 p.m.

Tesoro Hawaii is being honored for sponsoring Sunset on the Beach since 2007.

Today, Local Rising will headline the live entertainment at 5:30 p.m., followed by "Night at the Museum." Tomorrow, the live music comes from Roots Uprising at 5:30 p.m., with the Indiana Jones movie screening after dark.

BEFORE THERE WAS SUNSET …

Months before Sunset on the Beach was established as part of the city's economic stimulus efforts in 2001, filmmaker Edgy Lee's "Waikiki in the Wake of Dreams" film premiered on Kuhio Beach. The screening established a foothold, and the location eventually became a regular venue for movies. Find out more on Edgy Lee's Life Is Good blog — and see the film at http://arts.PacificNetwork.tv.
