Celebrating 50 years in Hawai'i, Holy Trinity School was founded in 1959 and is an accredited co-educational school for students in grades K through eight. The school is in Hawai'i Kai and offers a safe learning environment with small class sizes.

Holy Trinity School was blessed by Bishop Sweeney on Aug. 16, 1959. It was the 16th Catholic elementary school to be established on O'ahu and the 37th Catholic school in the Honolulu diocese.

Holy Trinity School opened on Sept. 4, 1959, with a staff of four Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange. In June 1965, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange withdrew from Hawai'i.

The Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet responded to the request of the bishop to staff Holy Trinity in September 1965.

In September 1985, Holy Trinity School opened a kindergarten.

Holy Trinity School exists to enable its students to develop a deep awareness of self-worth.

The school provides a comprehensive educational curriculum within a distinctly loving Christian atmosphere. Faculty and staff, in cooperation with the parents and students, strive for excellence in spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social and physical development.

Holy Trinity offers a variety of classes, such as Japanese instruction, a middle school band program, 'ukulele classes and more.

The school is based on Community of Faith in which the worship of God, quality of academic instruction, and social justice values are weaved throughout the school day, inspiring each child to reach new heights morally and academically. Children of all faiths are accepted. Holy Trinity is ecumenical.
